Car choice dilema???

Ok so now im driving a 95 altima. I like it but i want to upgrade. I dont have alot of money...so like 6000 would be the max. Heres what im basically lookin for:

*Not a civic (Everybody and their mom drives one lol)

*Sweet lookin

*Doesnt have to be super fast but something not many ppl will sneeze at

*Not super expensive to maintain

*But most of all i live in minnesota so it has to be able to keep me out of the ditches during the winter......

Its hard to find something with these attributes.........any help would be awesome!!!

Car choice dilema???
i live in nz and we have pretty nasty roads.. i find Peugeot's, toyotas (celi-ca-s and starlets), Mitsubishi, Subaru's and Mazda's do the job plus they come in all shape and prices that will cater for your needs.. Subaru's will have to be the best buy for winter roads.
Reply:^^ That is completely ridiculous.

Anyways for $6K you don't have too many options. Look for something like a used Acura Integra. I'd recommend you just hang on to your Altima if it's reliable. Getting a $6K(i.e old and heavily used) car is a crap shoot when it comes to reliability(regardless of the brand).
Reply:What to avoid:

Ford (all makes)

Chevrolet (all makes)

Chrysler (all makes)

Buy any Toyota. Will last forever
Reply:go prelude, in live in salt lake city and we get a good amount of snow, prelude does great and they look good.
