As the night falls, my senses arise

Looking into darkness, I see even more

The absence of light heightens my hearing

As I listen to your thoughts, and the way they speak

Your words touch me gently, leaving a sweet taste

The taste reminds me of the fresh smell of spring

As your seasons change, I take notice

Your frosting winter beauty is warmed

In slumber your face blossoms

Your skin glows as would the sun in July

But your aura is very soothing

Like the red's and brown's of autumn

Reminding me how I love fall

Also how to fall in love

Reply:This is absolutely breathtaking...one of the best poems I have read.I love the way you use the changing seasons and the darkness in your stunning imagery. Every line is a treasure of complex and beautiful comparisons..."night falls" and "senses arise"....and seeing "even more" in the darkness are two excellent examples. Very lovely. Thank you.
Reply:That's nice!

I love the line "Your frosting winter beauty is warmed"

Reply:The first thing that springs to mind is that first you have to winter know how bad it is to fall.
Reply:Seasoned just right, peppered with loving references and delivered hot to our doors. (yes I am eating left over pizza)

Another superb effort King!
Reply:You have sketched the poem fabulously! you'd defenitely make a Wordsworth one day!
