Good flowers to give to a girl for a "thinking of you" type of situation?

So I've been dating a girl for a while no commitment or anything. Anyway its winter break and I wanna make some effort to keep the interest up over this extended period of time apart. Thought I'd send her flowers to show her I was thinking of her. I know not to send roses! But any suggestions are appreciated. Some thoughts thus far:

I guess what I'm looking for is nothing that says I love you. I do like her and care about her. But more of wanting to show her she's important to me. Something sweet that will brighten her day.

Get her a dozen of those. A dozen daisies looks a little insubstantial. Can't go wrong with tulips. Beautiful

Reply:ACTUALLY, roses may very well be appropriate ... WHITE ROSES stand for "friendship" and "purity" so they may be right for this situation ... with the right presentation, they're beautiful, too.
