Will we ever be more?

I met him in chemistry and we were lab partners. We became friends and were going to study together but we both had too many other things going on. He lead me on during Christmas break and would tell me "sweet dreams" and sweet stuff like that. I told him I liked him and he said he didn't mean to hurt me and he was a better friend than a boyfriend. We text everynight and I mean everynight. I also asked him to winter formal and he said yes. Since then we talk all the time but never hang out. I'm soo confused. Help. I want to ask him to prom but I just don't know. Can anyone help me... are we just friends or does he like me but he's shy. The song Realize fits I think.

OK girl it sounds like he thinks of you just as a sister you know i had a guy friend like that one time and we were like brother and sister and we talk on the phone all the time still do too and TX when we were in bed and go to dances together too but it maybe that he is scared to go out with you because he douse not want to ruin the relationship you two have and a lot of times when you guys have a good friendship and you go out and it douse not work out then they can never get that friendship back OK good luck with your prob

Well, I would say that he just wants to be friends, but he's being a great friend. Ask him to the formal, you can always just go as friends.





His "better friend than boyfriend" thing makes me think he did something / experienced something in a previous relationship that makes him nervous about having another one.





Give him a little time, he might come around.

Reply:Well, if you told him he was a better friend than a boyfriend, he probably just thinks you think of him as a friend. So he likely doesn't think of you that way, at least not now. You've got to give him a hint that you do like him, or he never won't.

Reply:He likes you but he's not looking for anything more than friendship (or sex). As much as you don't want to believe it, trust me, I'm 20, been there, done that. Treat him like he treats you and move on. Later in life you will understand and be grateful you did.
